In the 2nd course assignment, we get to use the ideas we have learned so far and apply it in our research in the organization we chose. We get to search for the information that others wrote that is related to our organization activities. We were to use the stuffs we have learned so far from the course to analyze and synthesize our finding in an organized research paper to present if the findings we found have strong or weak arguments. This is helpful in developing our skills in researching any topics for future reference. This is also helpful in helping us to analyze any reference we find on our topic more critically and where or not to accept, refuse, or suspend our judgments depending on how the reference was written. Aside from that, we also get to work on our collaboration skill and networking skill in getting the paper together to flow cohesively.
I really agree when you said, "This is helpful in developing our skills in researching any topics for future reference." I like how we get to use whatever we know and try to test our strengths. This class is really about teaching yourself. We aren't given homework all the time like in regular classes so it's our own responsibility to either try and learn the most of a concept or skim through the reading. These assignments show us how much we know, what should we focus on, and what do we know the most on. It's difficult, yes, since it's a new thing for most of us but I like how we really test our abilities.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely, it is an interesting blog that i have arrived on, i definitely agree on your statement that "we get to work on our collaboration skill and networking skill in getting the paper to flow cohesively." It doesn't take one individual to complete a paper that is group assigned, so being able to communicate effectively during this time period is crucial is being able to present a well done paper. It is also true that this is a good benefit in helping ourselves look to references for credibility in the future so we should accept, reject, or suspend our judgement. group assignments are a challenge but can turn out for the better.
